Leather Backpack Purse

I want to import stuff from Paraguay South America. I’m talking about a variety of goods. Mostly hand made artisan goods such as table cloths, shirts, leather backpacks, leather jackets, dresses, blouses, leather book marks, leather purses, hand made hammocks, etc. Also I was thinking about a Paraguayan Beer.

I’m in Minnesota. I was looking up stuff on import taxes and fees and just got really confused about how to do this. Also do you think there is any market for things like that here in Minnesota? Is there a simple way to get started in this? Do I need Permits or liscenses?
